We are looking to fill this position urgently and this position is only open to Swiss and EU citizens or with a valid work permit. Our requirement is for a senior software engineer with experience in Java based web applications; microservice design and architecture; design and implementation of distributed, multi-tenant platforms; encapsulation of microservice applications in containers and orchestration.  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with interpersonal skills to work across the organization and with external partners to drive forward projects and recommendations.

• Design, re-architect and migrate distributed, multi-tenant web applications and APIs to a microservice architecture and resource-oriented (RESTful) APIs


• Designing, architecting and building microservices to containerize and deploy on cloud platforms


• Collaborating with other operational and development teams for resolution of operational issues


• Responsible for complex problem resolution, creating and improving procedures and facilitating communication

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1-2 years’ experience building microservices and webservices (Experience with Java based web applications and tools such as Java EE, Struts, Weblogic, etc. If experienced working with newer web dev technologies like Angular and React, is a plus.)


• Minimum 1-2 years’ experience building microservices for encapsulation in containers and deploying to cloud platforms (experience with Paas, Iaas and tools like Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes, Docker, Amazon ECS, etc.)


• Experience in design and implementation of build, testing, continuous integration and delivery pipeline with at least one of the cloud service stacks such as AWS, Azure, OpenStack


• Strong background in general programming and its core principles


• Experience with virtualization, storage and networking


• Excellent analytical aptitude and problem-solving skills


• Excellent communication and customer interfacing skills


• Experience working in core banking and payments domain is an asset


• Written and Spoken English language skills


• German language skills is an asset
