Procurement Commodity Manager and MRP


As Procurement Commodity Manager you contribute to achieving and maintaining the competitive position of all Sonova units. You continuously improve performance by benchmarking with world class companies, both inside and outside Sonova. 


 


Important aspects here are target costing (R&D support), demand bundling, supplier management and commodity management. Procurement has a unified presence in the procurement markets and is expected to use common methods, tools and systems


 


Your tasks


 



  • Direct responsibility for the strategic procurement of accessories and 3rd party finished products, complementary to the hearing aid business

  • Direct responsibility for product launches across Sonova

  • Develop suppliers to manufacture high complex electronic products, components and motivate suppliers to further develope full new manufacturing processes

  • Procure goods and services on economic terms and at minimum risk

  • Make optimum use of purchasing potential, to the benefit of the entire procurement and sales processes as well as supply chain

  • Cultivate good relations with suppliers in order to ensure the sustainable and long term relationships

  • Enable the best leverage possibilities for procurement by optimizing the supply process oriented set-up

  • Ensure stability and competitiveness of the supplier base,

  • Actively participate with R&D in product development projects

  • Ensure implementation of material and supplier strategies in product development

  • CAPEX / Investments Purchases

  • ISO 14001 environment management

  • Deputy manager for assigned Senior Commodity Managers


 


 


Your profile


 



  • Business education (qualified buyer, purchasing manager) with further technical education, or vice versa

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in strategic purchasing in plastics, mechanical and/or electronic assemblies

  • In-depth knowledge of process and project management

  • Analytical skills as well as structured and problem-solving skills

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • Self-motivated and independent personality with decision-making willingness

  • Fluent in German and English

  • Very good MS Office and SAP skills

  • Willingness to travel approx. 10% - 20%
