Global Supply Chain Manager Polyesters (m/f/d)

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Mobility and Materials Business is seeking a Business Supply Chain Manager (m/f/d) to lead all supply chain activities in support of our Crastin and Rynite Polyester businesses.  The Business Supply Chain Manager drives end-to-end Supply Chain Performance to deliver a competitive advantage, partnering with business and operational leaders to realize strategic priorities, and acting as an active collaborator and integrator of business and functional improvement initiatives. 


The successful candidate will be accountable for the reliability, responsiveness, flexibility, Supply Chain cost, and working capital effectiveness of the integrated end-to-end (E2E) supply chain (Plan-Buy-Make-Deliver).  


                                                  


Responsibilities:


Strategic Planning and Execution


Leads translation of business, region, product and/or asset plans into strategic SC plans covering “plan-buy-make-deliver”, safely.



  • Relative to integrated business planning horizon (0 to 24 months) is responsible to identify and anticipates gaps in long term capability and competitiveness and develops options for line of business team decision making.

  • Champions tracking metrics and communication processes aligned with Operations deliverables, business priorities, and global competitive benchmarking

  • Manages the intersection of key functional issues and opportunities which require end-to-end supply chain engagement. 

  • Active partner in translating business strategy & priorities into supply chain strategy/priorities

  • Leads and executes communications of supply chain and ops performance tracking and opportunity development in support of business strategy and managing processes


Product Supply



  • Champions customer focus and service within Operations and supply chain managing processes.  

  • Ensures smooth functioning of end-to-end supply chains through effective planning processes and business integration.

  • Responsible to identify strategic and tactical options to 1) enhance SC performance, flexibility, reliability, quality and competitive advantage and 2) reduce risk


Financial Impact of Operations & Improvement



  • Responsible for executing the WC processes across the business supply Chains in support of business initiatives.

  • Optimizes total delivered cost within line of business

  • Supports improvement culture, including tools and processes that accelerate improvement, actively manage risks and strengthen regulatory performance  

  • Guides creation of effective new SC and product launch processes integrated with new product development priorities


Key Processes Accountability



  • Business integration – Supply Chain lead within business teams and associated managing processes.

  • Cost management: Processes variable COM & network design determined Freight Cost.

  • DIBM/IBP: Leads step 3G (Supply) and represents Supply Chain steps 1 & 4

  • Inquiries from sales/business managers that require global balancing to achieve

  • Crisis priority management when global planning is required or request crisis management leader

  • Master data management

  • Drive continuous improvement Waste/Cost of Poor Quality through Lean Six Sigma / RCFA / Continuous Improvement toolkits within the supply chain organization and network design impact.

  • Service Quality leadership and processes that translate VOC to effective service, lead time and product quality management.

  • WC productivity improvement and inventory management

Qualifications



  • BS/BA Supply Chain, business, or technical field is required

  • Several years Supply Chain or manufacturing experience required

  • Strong collaboration skills required.

  • Supply chain/manufacturing experience with significant interface as part of teams, leading teams, or working cross-cultures preferred. 

  • Six Sigma Black Belt with Lean training, and/or Champion preferred, or equivalent continuous improvement experience  

  • APICS CPIM / CSCP Certification strongly preferred (must be obtained on the job within 18 months). 

  • SAP/ERP competency / working knowledge strongly preferred.

  • General business acumen and supply chain acumen

  • General base in IBP technology
