Why we are recruiting


The Public Engagement team is mandated to convey the Forum’s mission and messages and engage the global community in its work. The team aims to build awareness of the Forum’s mission by enhancing the Forum’s brand and engagement with the global public. We are seeking an established producer to lead our live production operations, responsible for shaping our studio output and storytelling approaches. We are seeking someone with significant experience in live production, with exceptional editorial judgment and visual sophistication, who can juggle numerous tasks under the demands of daily production.


The Lead Producer, Live Production leads a small, dedicated team to drive creative visions forward to execution. Reporting to the Head of Creative, the Lead Producer will work in close collaboration with Creative Content unit leads, and serve as a key point of contact for colleagues across the Public Engagement team and wider organization.


Responsibilities



  • Lead our live production team. Collaborate closely with video & public engagement leadership.


  • Create a strategic and editorial framework for this team to work across studio production, video packages and graphics, creatively responding to competing demands, often under pressure.


  • Responsible for general flow of daily studio production. Work closely with content producers on refining scripts, reviewing edits, capturing video and keeping the team on schedule.


  • Oversee production of our various live projects, assume editorial responsibility in the gallery during live broadcasts and recordings.


  • Take responsibility for the technical and creative quality of our live productions.


  • Identify interviewees, develop suggested questions, prepare other research for moderators.


  • Act as quality control and guidance for our production partners across the globe as well as internal staff.


  • Represent the public engagement team internally and externally



Qualifications and skills



  • Solid background in studio production with a strong understanding of what's needed to make great live and short form video content. Capable of defining and defending creative visions.


  • Master’s degree in communications or journalism and at least 7 years of experience producing high profile, quality television / news.


  • Fluency in the digital video space, developed understanding of online news cycle and proven ability to tell stories catering to different audiences, including social media and high-level conferences


  • A proven interest in world affairs and a strong knowledge of current global issues is required.


  • Can write well and guide the writing from other visual editors.


  • Is communicative and diplomatic, is interested in collaboration and can create strong communication systems with stakeholder teams across the organization.


  • You must have excellent organizational skills, be detail-oriented and able to work under pressure while meeting multiple daily deadlines, without compromising output quality or storytelling.


  • Working knowledge of editing tools like Adobe Premiere, After Effects and photoshop a plus.
