Role purpose:
Digitalization of CP Development operations is expanding quickly but will continue to work from the mentality of a small technology start-up company with team members who embrace an innovative mindset. The position requires using agile methodologies in ways-of-working and software development and an openness to push boundaries, not accept status-quo, challenge what is for what can be, and connect and collaborate with colleagues in CP Development in each region. The position will be an ambassador for new digital technologies and information systems with a global reach. 


Accountabilities:
Product Owner for new DDC (Digital Data Capture) data visualization toolset and integration with BITS Services



  • Serve as the voice of the user and align needs with product roadmap, capture user stories

  • Be flexible in thinking and in approach to guide software development teams; use agile methodologies

  • Collaborate with DDC Program Leads and other stakeholders for visioning and concept development for the new tool(s)

  • Work closely with RDIT and external companies


Oversee day-to-day roll-out of DDC initiatives



  • Gather data on all project costs to inform future global budget planning 

  • Partner with country/region CP Regulatory departments to align digitally collected data with valid submissions

  • Maintain consistent interactions with country/regional project team members, ensure learnings are quickly shared across the organization

  • Work with country/regional/global support functions (finance/logistics/legal/HSE/insurance) to enable swift execution of project objectives


Maintain cross-functional and cross-regional view on current and potential digital technologies



  • Work with Program Leads to plan next waves of existing tools and new opportunities at a global level

  • Identify alignments and standardizations between CPD and other functions (Seeds, Commercial)

  • Partner with the Commercial Digital Team to explore cross-use of developed technologies in grower offers, including FMS (field management systems)

 

Qualifications

 

Critical knowledge:



  • Broad and detailed knowledge of agribusiness (crop protection, bio-stimulants, biologicals, abiotic stress management, new technologies).

  • Understanding of the R&D organisation, and key processes involved with RDIT, data storage, use, and interpretation

  • Possess a fundamental understanding of the end-to-end user experience with DDC/EDC (electronic data capture) and BITS

  • Fluency in written and oral English.

  • Analytical thinking and passion for digital technology.


Critical experience:



  • Experience in coordinating with IT departments to create new user-friendly online tools

  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills for building relationships and maintaining a broad network

  • Understanding of CP Regulatory processes globally

  • Proven track-record of delivering successful development projects 

  • Experience coordinating multiple groups through complexity at a rapid pace
