What you will do

• Support and execute the continuous development of the operational risk management framework, policies, methodologies, processes and standards


• Conduct operational risk assessment workshops


• Advise internal stakeholders (all management levels) on any operational risk matter regarding operational risk identification, assessment, control/mitigation and monitoring


• Assess, monitor and report operational risks (e.g. material transactions, business cases, projects, new products)


• Support in building up, managing and analyzing operational risk data to spot trends and issues in need of further analyses or escalation


• Build mutual trusted relationships with all stakeholders

What you bring & who you are

• Profound understanding of (energy) trading, 3+ years of work experience in a trading company or investment bank or as a consultant/internal auditor in these industries


• Strong knowledge of operational risk management practices, experience in data analysis is a plus


• Bachelor or Master Degree in Business Administration, Finance or related fields, further education in Energy Economics, Operational Risk Management are an advantage


• Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to communicate with management and other internal stakeholders on all levels and build mutual trusted relationships


• English language proficiency and knowledge in German or other languages like Spanish, Italian or French are highly welcome

About the team

The Operational Risk Management Department was founded in summer 2020 and has continuously built up its activities. We are looking for a strong individual that supports the Lead Operational Risk Management in further developing and building up Operational Risk Management in Axpo Trading & Sales.
