We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Senior Medical Scientific Liaison for Immunology in Switzerland to join our team. The Medical Science Liaison role at BMS is primarily field based (60-70%) and has a reporting line through the medical function. The successful candidate will act on a national level as the primary field medical contact and subject matter expert for health care professionals and will develop and maintain contacts with national, regional and local experts. The role is also a pivotal interface to various cross-functional internal colleagues. By championing team spirit with passion and drive, the Medical Science Liaison will be part of an energetic team advancing our activities in the immunology area. In order to enable success in the role, key areas of focus will include: Champion scientific communication with HCPs to ensure safe and appropriate use of innovative BMS immunology medicines through strategic face to face or virtual exchange and group presentations across Switzerland Drive scientific exchange by providing up-to-date information on BMS compounds on request, respond to scientific questions and requests posed by HCPs, ensuring medical accuracy and compliance with local procedures, ethical and legal guidelines and directives Actively assess the medical landscape by meeting with Thought Leaders to understand their needs and expertise Support the development and execution of the Local Medical Plan in close collaboration with the in-house medical functions Actively contribute to the development of Brand Plans and Strategies through cross-functional and multi-disciplinary collaboration within the Brand Team Assist in the initial and ongoing medical/scientific area and product specific training and provide key scientific updates to internal stakeholders (e.g. Commercial, Sales, Regulatory, Pharmacovigilance, Legal, HEOR, Market Access) Continuously update own knowledge in treatment strategies, products, unmet medical needs, clinical trials and scientific activities. Understand the competitive landscape and actively prepare to address informational needs of customers Collect and provide meaningful medical insights back to the medical and commercial organizations to be actioned in support of the strategy development Support Interventional and Non Interventional Research (NIR) studies (e.g. identification and assessment of potential study sites) to support patient recruitment and/or discussions around the safe and effective use of BMS investigational products, as agreed with local medical management and as defined by the study scope document Qualifications needed to fulfil this role: University degree in life sciences (PhD, PharmD, Msc, others) required Experience in clinical practice, research or pharmaceutical environment, preferable within Medical and/or as field-based function Previous experience in Immunology therapeutic area or Multiple Sclerosis is a plus Be able and comfortable to work independently in a field based role Willingness to travel within Switzerland Experience translating complex clinical data into easy to understand messages Excellent communication and presentation skills to present scientific and/or clinical data to research or healthcare professionals External customer focus with strong networking capabilities Good planning, organization and project management skills High proficiency in problem solving ability and strong scientific analytical skills Be a team player with strong interpersonal skills Fluent written and spoken German and English, French and/or Italian is a plus Strong identification with BMS's values Around the world, we are passionate about making an impact on the lives of patients with serious diseases.
