As a Frontend Architect at Smallpdf, you will work closely with the team to improve and extend the infrastructure of our product.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with leads and PMs to extend and improve the infrastructure of our web platform, used by millions of people every day.


• Improve and document our engineering practices. (We use TypeScript, React with hooks, Redux and Styled Components. More details here.)

• Work closely with other engineers by challenging ideas, taking part in brainstorming sessions, and having discussions to get to the best solutions.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in developing web-based applications


• Experience with building SPAs (Single Page Application) at scale


• Outstanding skills in JavaScript, including TypeScript (or FlowType)


• Extensive knowledge in working with React


• Experience with bundling tools such as Webpack


• Good written and verbal communication skills


• Can excel independently and have a sense of ownership for your own work


• Fluent in English


• Based in Zurich or willing to relocate


• Swiss or EU passport holder (or other permits that allow you to work in Switzerland)
