Job Description:


The key role of this assignment is that of an individual contributor and Peer/Team leader who has a reputation within CI for their knowledge of our business and the dealers as well as strong process discipline and understanding. This expertise will be leading projects supporting the CI Retail Transformation OIA to achieve the Retail PINs contribution target. Individuals demonstrate creativity, foresight, business judgment and outstanding distribution and CI understanding.  


Incumbent will:



  • Prioritize and define Retail Transformation implementation plan with the GCI, BCP and DSD organizations, based on market opportunity.

  • Utilize the Dealer Retail Customer Capabilities framework to define the expectations and execution plan for target dealers.

  • Define and implement Pay for Performance programs for Retail excellence.

  • Lead enabling projects, that will build Retail capabilities: opportunity and prioritization tool, LCV application guide, digital and physical experience update.

  • Communicate – Ensure multi-channel communication throughout the Enterprise. This includes keeping the Project Sponsor informed of program status and ensuring coordination of activities with other regional Retail Transformation project leads. Also, this includes capturing project case histories that can be re-used for other projects. Provide quantitative data indicating the scope of the operation including current year and forecast sales, net income, operating budget, and any other quantitative factors which describe the scope of the operation.

  • Analyze – Provide quantitative data indicating the scope of the operation including current year and forecast sales, net income, operating budget, and any other quantitative factors which describe the success of the execution.

  • Train and lead improvement project teams. 

  • Support dealers with Cost to Serve (C2S) analysis and profitability improvement projects as well as with physical transformation and online presence.

  • Lead dealers with Customer Experience (CX) transformation to attract Retail customers.

  • Lead projects where the subject focus and solution are highly complex in nature, availability, and attainability. Lead improvement projects within the value center and effectively coordinate these projects with the Project Sponsor and other improvement project teams. 

  • Project leadership includes identifying opportunities, defining and financially justifying projects, launching project teams, using good project management to manage team activities, leading teams to execute projects using Design of Experiments (DOE) and other methodology, tracking project status and results, removing and elevating project barriers, and developing team members.

  • Identify integration issues with other projects/processes and coordinate the improvements with the appropriate project/process owners to accomplish the project goals. 

  • Measure results – Manage the development and maintenance of methods and systems for measuring the degree to which the project goals, objectives and metrics are being met. Provide Project Sponsor with the results and take corrective project action as required to improve on results below target. 

  • Integrate improvement projects – Ensure projects are integrated with other Enterprise activities, improvement projects, and business strategy. 


Geographical Responsibility: EAME
Metrics and measures: Same metrics as all Retail Consultants (global basis)
Primary Interface: Divisional Managers, Department Heads, Vice Presidents across multiple Enterprise organizations including GCI, BCP, DSD, CISD, and Product Groups; Dealer Vice Presidents; direct interaction with Customers  


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 



  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, or Engineering or an equivalent Dealer or marketing or product experience in GCI / BCP / DSD.

  • 7+ years of professional level experience.

  • Enterprise knowledge of other functions including Product Development, Sales Operations, Marketing Communications, Industry reporting, Pricing.

  • Demonstrated excellent project management skills, team leadership skills, and excellent communication skills.

  • Effective communications skills, credibility, persuasiveness and high stress tolerance.

  • Ability to work independently, creatively, and able to build relationships with various stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical skills and statistical analysis and has strong computer skills.

  • Results oriented change agent and an effective business systems thinker.

  • Ability to manage the risk and ambiguity on a project.


TOP CANDIDATES WILL ALSO HAVE: 



  • Broad business background, specific long-term product or industry knowledge.

  • Previous 6 Sigma Black Belt, Lean, Retail, CX or Enterprise Transformation Experience

  • Previous field rep or Dealer facing experience

  • Familiar with company policies and procedures with a strong department background.

  • Strong dealer network in the EAME Region.

  • Expected travel requirements: 50% to 75%
