PWM is seeking to recruit a Data Engineer (12-month fixed-term contract) for its Risk & Control Functions unit.
As a member of the PWM Supervisory & Analytics team, your mission will be to protect the Bank by performing regular controls on Front activities and to contribute to building the next-generation Internal Control System for wealth management, using data analytics and leading various initiatives.
You will be responsible for :
- Evaluating and proposing improvements to our Internal Control System infrastructure.
- Coordinating with various data stakeholders to achieve industrialisation of our Internal Control System.
- Automating controls using data analytics.
- Redesigning and implementing controls using a risk-based approach.
- Creating and improving dashboards for supervising wealth management activities.
- Creating new Key Risk Indicators to follow up wealth management risk activities.
- University degree in Engineering/HES/HEG, or equivalent education.
- Two to five years’ experience in a similar function (banking experience would be a plus).
- Proficient user of BI tools (e.g. Tableau, Alteryx or equivalent).
- Proficient in SQL programming languages (Python would be a plus).
- Strong data management skills.
- Fluency in French and English.
- Previous experience in data mining, machine learning and/or statistics would be a plus.
- Knowledge of Avaloq would also be an advantage.
- Must be resident in Switzerland.
As the chosen applicant you will have excellent analytical/logical thinking and problem-solving skills as well as being methodical, precise and highly organised in your work. You will also possess first-rate interpersonal, communication and presentation skills and be a strong player.
