• Direct Management of the global Outsourcing Management group


• Direct Line Management of team leads within Outsourcing Management


• Leading BMS’s vendor OM functions to embed industry-leading processes and principles that define how BMS interacts with and manages its vendor partnerships


• Leading BMS’s vendor OM functions to ensure that all vendor contractual obligations (MSAs, SOWs, Quality Agreements), SOP’s, business practices and guidelines are adhered to in the execution of BMS’s OM function


• Creating and promoting, within OM, a culture of efficiency, accountability, advocacy and fairness to govern OM interactions with BMS vendors and BMS internal customers


• Working within BMS’s matrix structure to establish efficient and effective contracting processes to ensure all vendor contracts are in place to ensure critical clinical trial milestones are met


• Resource planning and management, working with the Group Director CTBP to ensure adequate resources are available to manage the book of work and proactive resource planning to ensure future resourcing is in line with forecasted business needs


• Setting goals and objectives for the OM function that are aligned with the business objectives of the organization and establishing appropriate metrics, KPIs and scorecards to measure achievement of those goals and objectives


• Continuous review of OM systems, structure and processes to identify opportunities for continuous improvement initiatives and leading or delegating leadership of these initiatives to ensure their timely and effective development and implementation


• Researching industry trends and innovation in the field of OM and where beneficial to the BMS organization, introducing these innovations within the OM group


• Working with the Group Director CTBP and other peer leaders to establish operational priorities for the OM function


• Working with Global Procurement and other BMS functions to select and onboard new vendors


• Act as a point of escalation for  significant issues or issues that are not easily resolvable at the team level
