The Jira Administrator is part of the Services team in Lausanne, Switzerland.


The candidate will provide support in all areas/capabilities of the Atlassian/JIRA system for a variety of initiatives. Must be able to possess and apply expertise on multiple complex work assignments, which may be broad in nature, requiring innovation in determining how to efficiently accomplish tasks, and will contribute to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable.

Main responsibilities:


Admin:



  • Performs administration and configuration of JIRA and Confluence to maximize efficiency in using the tool, including the management of the application and server database, data backups, and scheduled jobs.

  • Manages migrations, periodic upgrades, updates, and continuous improvement / continuous delivery (CI/CD)

  • Designs and Implement enhancement of JIRA integration with other systems

  • Supports backup and recovery strategies for Atlassian platforms

  • Reviews and improve security within JIRA projects and Confluence spaces

  • Performs testing of JIRA project implementation and project enhancements

  • Provides JIRA subject matter expertise in discussions regarding governance within JIRA, especially as new implications arise in the environment with internal/external users accessing the current and new instance


Support:



  • Creates and customizes JIRA projects, workflows, screen schemes, custom fields, permission schemes and notification schemes to meet business needs.

  • Performs analysis, diagnosis and resolution of incoming JIRA/Confluence requests, including creation and management of custom projects and workflows

  • Partners with cross-functional teams to design and implement Atlassian solutions consistent with industry best practices

  • Analyzes, review, and document current functionality to determine potential areas of improvement.


Training/Documentation:



  • Provides training to JIRA users and other Internal Support team members (both formal and informal)

  • Creates and maintain Application Documentation (User Guide, Operations Guide, Change Management Process, etc.)

  • Captures and evangelizes tips / best practices for company to make the most effective use of Atlassian tools


Plugins:



  • Integrates/Configures JIRA & Confluence plug-ins.

  • Identifies, evaluates, tests, and provides recommendations on plug-ins to meet project requirements


Reporting:



  • Help develop metrics, dashboards, reports and advanced filters to provide leadership with meaningful operational/performance metrics and status reports.
