Global Medical Lead Prostate Cancer 


 


YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES


 


The Global Medical Lead is responsible for supporting the Medical Affairs strategy for prostate cancer. He/she contributes directly to the generation and disclosure of scientific and clinical data on pipeline and marketed products to appropriate health care stakeholders.


Key Tasks:



  • Provides the medical strategy for global conducted or supported medical affairs studies

  • Plans and coordinates the design, conduct and analysis reporting and publication of oncology global phase 2-4 medical affairs studies

  • Provides strategic review of oncology IIRS and post-marketing studies

  • Ensures all regional studies are consistent with agreed global medical strategy, as mentioned in the medical plan

  • Provides medical expertise and insight on commercial issues through membership of the Brand Core Team (BCT)

  • Plans and conducts scientific advisory boards with key opinion leaders and external customers

  • Represents Bayer Oncology viewpoint on products to key opinion leaders, scientific advisors, health authorities and to other external stakeholders

  • Provides medical affairs input to global clinical development programs

  • Provides medical probability of success and feasibility assessments to global marketing colleagues in relation to Bayer Oncology products

  • Provides medical review of promotional material from the BCT for global use e.g. product monographs, brochures, press releases, q&as, field communications

  • Leads medical affairs activities connected to the Medical Core Team scientific publication process, global thought leader development programs and global medical congress activity

  • Provides medical affairs input to core labeling and pharmacovigilance documents for marketed products (e.g. risk management plans and benefit analysis for risk-benefit assessments)

  • Establishes and lead medical affairs matrix teams for global brands in oncology


 


WHO YOU ARE


 



  • Medical doctor (physician) with advanced postgraduate

  • Medical training/experience, in oncology

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in clinical development and/or medical affairs function of a global healthcare organization or disease or therapeutic area knowledge in both existing drugs and new fields of exploration

  • In depth knowledge of prostate cancer, its disease stages and treatments is ideal.

  • Understanding of the late stage drug development process over different stages

  • Experience of developing and delivering presentations and publications in English

  • Strong written and oral communication/presentation skills

  • Global mindset, understanding of global regulations and guidelines

  • Understanding of and ability to act on cultural differences in a global environment

  • Experience of effectively managing risk and compliance issues

  • Experience of managing teams across cultures and geographies

  • Experience of participating in cross-functional teams

  • Experience of working across and building effective working relationships between functions

  • Proven record of relationship building, both internally and externally to the organization

  • High degree of fluency in written and verbal English is required
