Our Internship Program is open to students who want to gain practical experience in one of the various career fields at the heart of the financial services industry. Over the course of this in-depth, comprehensive program you make valuable contributions to the bank’s work, develop skills, expand your knowledge and grow in confidence. You participate in exclusive events, shadowing days, real-world business challenges and demanding tasks to extend your experience and create valuable networks in the bank and the wider sector. By the end of the program you gain a rich, varied insight into our work at Credit Suisse and the industry in general.


Start date: 1st July 2021


Duration: 6 months


Academic requirements: Completed at least four semesters of a bachelor’s degree or currently enrolled in a master’s degree from a university or university of applied sciences


Your field of responsibility



  • A meaningful role within the second line of defense Non-Financial Risk (NFR) team looking after the division Swiss Universal Bank (SUB) and Credit Suisse (Switzerland) AG

  • You the opportunity to gain insight into components of Credit Suisse’s Non-Financial Risk Framework such as incidents management, the setting of the operational risk appetite, the controls framework and the self-assessment approach, among other topics

  • You an active involvement in performing internal and external incident data analytics

  • The chance to work on operational risk topics across the whole division and embedded corporate functions

  • The role to support the risk data provider in running and establishing relevant weekly, monthly and quarterly risk reports for further distribution to stakeholders

  • A variety of tasks relating to the establishment of second line of defense guidance and training documents

  • Daily ad hoc activities such as data reconciliation and analysis tasks during challenge and quality assurance work performed

  • You support the establishment of presentations for NFR SUB purposes

Your qualifications and skills

  • Strength in conceptual thinking and enthusiasm about analysing numbers

  • Proficiency in MS Excel as well as MS Power Point

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, business proficiency in English and German

  • The ability to get along with senior management, build up meaningful relationships and trusted partnerships in a diverse team

  • You are a dedicated problem solver with a positive personality and can-do attitude
