People Services organisation is supporting all Wärtsilians by delivering every day HR services in a consistent & easy way. This is done by working as a one community, a seamless team and enhanced by smart technologies. 
 
In the core of the People Services Community is a global and virtual team of People Support Hub, working together to bring our employee and manager experience to life. The People Support Hub consists of three types of teams: regional hubs, a global hub and an operational excellence & employee experience team.
 
Regional Hubs are responsible for delivering the kind of employee lifecycle services which require understanding of the local requirements and/or fluency in the local language. The responsibilities include employment contracts, job offers, annual clock activities, onboarding and offboarding and helping our employees and managers in their day-to-day questions related to people matters.

Specialist, People Support Hub


 


We are now looking for a Specialist to join our forward-looking team of HR specialists in People Support Hub. This position is a permanent one and its preferred location is Mulhouse, France or Trieste, Italy. Other European locations will be considered.



As a Specialist, you will be working together with a virtual team of colleagues within your region, supporting the employees and managers in your responsibility area with their people matters. Together with your colleagues, you are in direct contact with our HR customers on a day to day basis, ensuring that their support needs are responded to. 



What will you be doing?
 
In this role, you will:
 
•    Guide and advise employees and managers on their daily people matters
•    Deliver annual clock and employee lifecycle services within your region, keeping employee files and data up-to-date
•    Prepare documentation, contracts and support in hiring/onboarding, internal mobility and offboarding of employees
•    Participate in local/regional HR projects and implementing them
•    Bring local expertise to both regional and global team
•    Support employees and managers in using the self-services and signposting them to sources of information
•    Contribute to establishing the new ways of working for the People Support Hub and identify and document needs for automating/digitizing manual and offline processes
 
About You

For this role, we are looking for solution-oriented people professionals with excellent customer service mindset.
 
To be successful in this role, we expect you to:
•    Have understanding and expertise on at least one country’s specifics on people matters within your region: France and/or Italy
•    Be fluent in English, French and Italian, written and spoken
•    Have demonstrated and effective collaboration skills with customer orientation
•    Grant cultural sensitivity and an ability to work within a team and deliver services across different cultures
•    Demonstrate a genuine desire to make an impact on Wärtsilä people
•    Be service-minded. If you don’t know something, you will for sure find it out!
•    Be a proactive and solution-oriented problem solver with excellent communication skills
•    Be a quick learner and enthusiastic in adopting a fresh approach to delivering the people services
•    Be proficient with modern tools and comfortable in incorporating new ones in your daily work
•    Enjoy some routine work from time to time with a broad HR scope
•    Put yourself in the shoes of our Wärtsilä colleagues to think what would serve best the whole company
