Senior Monitoring and Testing Officer for Sustainability, Research and Investments (SRI) (Compliance Audit)

Your field of responsibility

 

Work in close collaboration with Heads of Compliance and Heads Monitoring and Testing (M&T) to define and implement a program of continuous risk monitoring which contributes to assurance and future M&T planning. This role also involves direct interaction with the Bank’s senior management connected to your portfolio, where you will be encouraged to act as a trusted partner and use your compliance insight and influencing skills to support the improvement of the Bank’s risk and control environment. This exciting leadership role involves coverage of a range of business lines/products and the opportunity to also play a transformational role in helping the organization to implement their ambitions ESG agenda. You will also lead and/or co-ordinate monitoring and testing reviews across key compliance risks faced by the SRI businesses, demonstrate risk awareness in order to ensure appropriate reviews are designed and then performed.

The newly formed SRI Monitoring & Testing team is a central team of professionals responsible for the execution of monitoring and testing for Compliance. The M&T group plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the Banks operations from regulatory risk and work closely in partnership with Coverage Compliance. Your skills and experience

 

This role is varied and requires excellent communication, management, and analytical skills to meet the demands of a regional team and function, and growing regulatory scrutiny:



  • Bachelor’s Degree required with proven experience (min. 8 years) working within a Risk and Control, Compliance or Internal Audit function acquiring knowledge on risk, control and vari-ous testing techniques, preferably in relation to compliance risks.

  • Deep understanding of risk and how controls can mitigate those risks while being commer-cial.

  • Strong understanding of Financial Services and in particular investment management, sus-tainability or research.

  • Highly effective communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills.

  • Ability to multi-task competing priorities while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and at-tention to detail.

  • Awareness of regional rules and regulations as well as applicable international standards for SRI would be beneficial.

  • Proficient English skills with German preferred.
