The Platform for Global Public Goods (PGPG) acts as a systems leader and platform curator on the environment and natural resource security, the future of food, development finance and sustainable development, including helping to organise the World Economic Forum’s Sustainable Development Impact Summit. The centre seeks to bring innovation and frontier approaches to help the international system be more agile and equipped to respond to today’s challenges by creating market-based incentives for 100million farmers.
Within the centre, the Nature Action Agenda (NAA) and the Food Systems Initiative (FSI) are working to catalyse momentum and action towards net zero, nature positive pathways through a new platform initiative, 100 Million Farmers: Transitioning towards net-zero, nature-positive food systems (“100 Million Farmers”).
100 Million Farmers is seeking a Specialist who will support the coordination of internal and external meetings, internal operations, and events support (2021 includes critical event milestones, such as the UN Food Systems Summit, the CBD COP, COP26 in which it will be essential for the initiative to have a strong presence, in addition to Forum-led events). The Specialist will also be required to maintain a project management tracker and update digital assets (internal and external websites, CRM system, marketing materials, etc.) for the project.
Reporting lines and interactions:
The role is based in Geneva within the World Economic Forum. The incumbent will report to the Community Lead, Food and Nature.
The incumbent will be expected to liaise with stakeholders, both internally and externally, and ensure relationships are well maintained.
