The Swiss-based startup is currently seeking a Head of Talent Development professional to join our multinational team of bright minds and execute our cross-vertical platform and product rollouts.

At present, we are looking for a Head of Talent Development to be a vital member of the HR Team.


Position goal


Develop and implement a concept for evaluating and improving key (general, professional, and managerial) employee competencies enabling the WayRay Team to skyrocket.


Context


As we grow and evolve, our tasks become increasingly complex, which is why every employee must also continuously grow and develop in step with the new challenges and requirements. You will be tasked with generating and implementing a large number of creative and unconventional ideas that reflect the company's spirit designing cool educational programs, empowering your colleagues, and cultivating their skills. ​​This position involves a large amount of independent work and active engagement with colleagues from WayRay's Russian office and the integration of educational programs or events across all of the company's locations (primarily Switzerland and Russia).


Projects to lead



  • Your main project relates to identifying, evaluating and developing key employee competencies, designing a concept for educational programs, selecting educational service providers

  • Employee onboarding (developing a new onboarding concept for new employees)

  • Selecting and implementing a new LMS

  • Skills Exchange (when employees learn from their colleagues)

  • Corporate language programs

  • Corporate library


Projects to participate in



  • Performance management (including owing the Performance Review process) and employee succession

  • Integrating company values


Additional tasks



  • ​​Analyzing the effectiveness of educational programs and student satisfaction

  • ​​Market research relevant events for the company’s employees (conferences,meet-ups, workshops, etc. in all areas: R&D, technology, design, automotive, HR, and others) and keeping it up to date

  • Owning the employees training budget


Preferred experience and education



  • 5+ years' successful experience in the area of Learning & Development (please provide a list of successful projects in your resume)

  • Experience developing competency models and evaluating competencies, experience organizing and executing training — functional/behavioural/leadership — a must-have requirement.

  • Familiarity with the Lominger competency model (Leadership Architect); experience implementing projects using this model is a must-have requirement (please provide a list of relevant successful projects and activities in your resume)

  • Experience working in a high tech/deep tech company/IT company or startup


You on the team


Head of Talent Development is located in Zurich and answers to the HR director and works directly with all managers, team leads, and employees of the company. There are no direct subordinates during the probationary period; coordination with colleagues around joint projects and management of contractors is expected. After the successful completion of the probationary period, it will be possible to hire employees to the team (if necessary). Developing concepts for new educational programs, approving budgets, and hiring new contractors takes place together with the immediate supervisor.
