Global Sales & Operations Planning Manager - (18028343)

We are currently looking for a Global Sales & Operations Planning Manager in our head office in Basel to manage and drive the Syngenta Global Sales and Operations Planning process for Crop Protection and be the process owner for the Sales and Operations Planning process at Crop Protection global and by coordinating and continuously improving the S&OP process in collaboration with the Regional Process Owners and global marketing.

Accountabilities:
•    Manage, drive and own the end to end S&OP process at global level including creating the agenda, information preparation and issue identification in a monthly cycle. Working closely with various stakeholders in Global Supply
•    Propose, develop and implement process improvements for S&OP process by working closely with Regional Business Process owners, Global Marketing and Global Finance
•    Drive capability development for the global and regional S&OP process and maintain and continuously improve documentation (including policies)  
•    Lead network of S&OP process owners who collectively own the design of the S&OP process
•    Maintain and manage the business wide S&OP calendar including review points
•    Govern the global KPI dashboard for Global Supply
•    Coordinate and facilitate various regular meetings
•    As a member of the Global Planning Leadership Team, be an equal contributor to the leadership agenda and act as a brand ambassador for the planning community
•    Act as an active member and process owner in projects related to S&OP, Supply Planning and Digital agenda
 

 

Qualifications

 

Ideal skillset & experience required : 

• A degree or equivalent in Business, Logistics, Sciences or Engineering is preferred but equivalent experience will be taken into account.


• Successful experience in a Supply Chain Environment or equivalent.


• Product knowledge


• Reporting knowledge and analytical skills


• Appreciation of the key interfaces within the supply chain and between the supply chain & commercial


• Managing risk and understanding trade-offs


• Sales and Marketing knowledge desirable.


• Project management experience preferred.


• Experience in operational management, preferably across different functional areas


• Experience in process design and implementation


• IT Skilled, technologically-savvy


• Strong influencing skills. Effective communicator across a wide range of international cultures


• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
