Senior Software Engineer Case Management (80-100%)

The positionThe Avaloq Technical Framework is the basis for the whole Avaloq Banking Suite and delivers various frameworks as a basis for software development of almost all Avaloq Banking Suite components and modules.



To enable our customers to define their business processes bank-wide end-to-end and spanning their whole system landscape, we are currently integrating a Case Management engine (developed by a partner company) into the core of our system.



You will be working in a small agile group of highly motivated software engineers and business analysts on the design, implementation and maintenance of our Case Management integration. We expect you to be passionate about your work, eager to keep constantly learning about the newest technologies and business trends and willing to share know-how with your peers in an environment which is highly competitive but at the same time highly collaborative (community of experts).



Your responsibilities

• Analysis, design and implementation of requirements in collaboration with other developers and business analysts from Software Development, customers and partners


• Contribution to projects across departments


• Analysis and maintenance of existing functionality


• Code Reviews


• Update technical documentation in close collaboration with business analysts and technical writers


• Preparation and execution of workshops as a subject matter expert


• Continuously acquire know-how in the area of CMMN/BPMN

Education

• University degree in Computer Science (ETH/University) or equivalent experience
  

Professional Requirements

• Solid understanding of modern software engineering principles, object-oriented techniques and design patterns


• Strong analytical, abstract thinking and problem solving skills


• Experience in Java EE (Spring Framework is a plus)


• Experience in web technologies is a plus (REST, JavaScript, AngularJS)


• Understanding of software development processes, both traditional and agile


• Understanding of relational databases (PL/SQL is a plus)


• Strong communication abilities


• Good command of English spoken and written (German is a plus)
