  • Prepare the effective tax rate forecasts (including transfer pricing, digital service tax estimates  and corporation income tax estimates) for the bi-quarterly forecasting cycle.

  • Prepare the tax provision to return reconciliations, scrutinizing the detail behind the statutory reporting adjustments and timing differences between the US GAAP accounting close, statutory accounts and tax returns.

  • Develop a deep business awareness to explain the story behind the tax numbers, including the transfer pricing relationships and revenue models/transaction flows.

  • Manage the tax advisory engagement budget, ensuring all ad hoc fees are approved and overruns are not incurred.

  • Establish best in class tax processes with a focus on efficiency, accuracy and compliance.

  • Ad hoc projects.

About you

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be highly organized with the ability to deliver multiple concurrent projects to strict deadlines whilst providing visibility on progress and issues to Directors.

  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize technical information (including complex tax regulations) for a senior finance audience.

  • Be able to translate compliance requirements into actionable tasks and checklists for an accounting and wider business audience.

  • Be curious and hands-on, equally at ease in the detail and looking at the big picture.

  • Be a solution-focused team player with the ability to influence and project manage colleagues.

  • Embrace change and strive to continuously improve the way we work and collaborate with each other within finance and the wider business.

  • Excel in an ambiguous, rapid change environment with multiple stakeholders and continuously evolving responsibilities.

  • Experience reviewing statutory financial statements from a tax risk perspective and preparation of tax provision to return reconciliations.

  • Preferred but not essential: project managing multiple concurrent audits.
