We are looking for a EAME Crop Protection Regulatory Data & Project Manager for our Crop Protection (CP) Business Sustainability EAME team at our global headquarters in Basel. In this role, you will:



  • function as business data steward/regional data manager in a key role to support the EAME Regulatory ambition for digitization and digital transformation.

  • drive and support on behalf of EAME Regulatory as project manager regulatory data management, quality, governance, compliance and IT/digitization projects.

  • serve as liaison within the assigned area of responsibility between EAME Regulatory Region/Territories/Countries and Global Regulatory Operations as well as the CP IT organization to ensure that regional business needs are understood within the global platform and by CP IT.

  • provide functional expertise around process & information excellence and facilitate technology-driven process improvements embedding agile approaches across assigned areas of responsibility


Accountabilities


Functions as Business Data Steward/Regional Data Manager



  • is main point of contact for data owners and stakeholders within EAME Regulatory to resolve data related issues, identify internal/ external data requirements & digitalization needs and trigger projects to resolve

  • translates global guidance into EAME Regulatory practice

  • makes data related decisions in line with global guidance and regional specifics for region EAME and aligns decision making with key stakeholder and data owners within EAME Regulatory.

  • coordinates a network of Subject Matter Experts (SME) and territory/ country data managers


Functions as EAME Regulatory Operations Project Manager



  • Manages as business lead or project manager data, IT and operational business process related projects within the scope of EAME Regulatory Knowledge Management & Compliance

  • Partners with CP IT and other stakeholders across the region for IT tool selection & acquisition. Owns as required the regional IT System and respective business process deployment from a business perspective

  • Supports projects within the scope of global PS & Regulatory as project contributor and SME representing EAME Regulatory.

  • Coordinates and supports change initiatives and transformations during the implementation phase through to completion

  • Creates business cases and project progress documentation according to Syngenta standards


Engages with key resources and SMEs within EAME Reg in the area of submission, document, data & information management in order to understand and map customer, stakeholder & user needs and deliverables for key regulatory information management systems.



  • Analyzes, develops and documents assigned business processes for regulatory information systems and provides appropriate training and communication to ensure the systems support effectively EAME regulatory

  • Designs, communicates and implements clear frameworks, standards and formats in line with OpEx principles

  • Analyzes the need for technical enhancements of regulatory information systems and develop appropriate strategies.

  • Provides technical business expertise and skills in assigned areas to business partners (Regulatory/Product Safety/CP R&D IT/Supply Chain/CP Development) ensuring that Process, Information & Knowledge Management issues, challenges and opportunities are progressed and addressed in a timely manner to the benefit of EAME Regulatory


Serves as liaison within the assigned area of responsibility between the regional business and the Global Regulatory Operations and IT organizations to ensure that regional business needs are understood within the global platform and by IT.



  • Ensures that the solutions developed and delivered by IT fit regional business needs in line with global strategies.

  • Owns the regional IT System Deployment as regional business partner.

  • Contributes to the analysis of the worldwide regulatory capabilities for regulatory knowledge management systems and identifies future capability gaps and development plans to meet both regulatory changes and business needs and aspiration

 

Qualifications

 

What are we looking for:



  • BA/BS or higher degree in Scientific or IT discipline or equivalent

  • Minimum 5+ experience in relevant fields and 3-5 years in Data/Document management and/or Project Management

  • Good general understanding of business processes, data management procedures and IT systems

  • Good general understanding of Project Management and LEAN/OpEx methodologies, concepts, techniques and tools

  • Highly competent in DMS (Document Management Systems) like Veeva or equivalent

  • Highly competent in MS Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Access as well as SharePoint

  • Knowledge about how to develop, track and report project metrics and KPIs

  • Collaboration across functional and geographic boundaries with excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Fluency in English. Any second language would be a plus
