The Role:
The Junior Data Scientist in the Data team in the Office of the CTO will develop and evaluate data models using AI and Machine Learning techniques. The Data team helps bring novel and advanced data technologies to Logitech through developing data platforms, data-driven solutions and best practices. The Data Scientist will contribute to important projects by developing and maintaining code for data processing, training and testing models and for scoring live data using these models, across a range of business-critical applications. His/Her responsibilities will range from developing a solution to project implementation and addressing feedback from business users.
The Junior Data Scientist will work in our European Headquarter based in Lausanne. They will work closely with various teams in our regional headquarters (Europe, America and Asia-Pacific).

Learn about new technologies and data science methods, and evaluate them in first-of-a-kind proof of concept prototypes
Collaborate with experienced data scientists, software engineers and business stakeholders across multiple teams and products
Analyze customer data and refine business questions to help uncover new insights and improve products and services
Transition your work from proof of concept to production deployment
Help drive the adoption of data-driven tools and methods across the company
Key Qualifications:
For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and behaviors to our team:
Experience performing data analysis in Python
Good knowledge of common Statistical Methods, including Time Series analysis
Good knowledge of ML algorithms, including Neural Networks/Deep Learning
Familiarity with Text Mining, Natural Language Processing, and Graph Analysis
Familiarity with common software and cloud development tools (Git, AWS)
In addition,preferable skills and behaviors include:
Experience working with large data sets / Big Data
Experience developing interactive web interfaces is a plus (to allow the business users to interact with data and models directly)
Experience with A/B testing and controlled experiments
Hands-on to get things done fast and able to work in ambiguity and without continual guidance
Inquisitive mind with the ability to recognize inefficiencies and challenge the status quo - entrepreneurial / innovation mindset
Attention to detail combined with creative thinking
Good written and verbal communication skills, fluent in English
Ability to connect easily with colleagues, team player
Ability to tailor insights to present clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
Multi-cultural exposure, especially exposed to our three regions’ cultures
Education:
MS degree in Data Science or related field
