We strive to make a difference to people’s everyday lives by bringing essential medicines to the market.  In our Histology department we are looking to recruit an Histology technician to join our expanding team for a 9 months contract.

Job responsibilities include:

• Routine decalcification, processing, embedding, microtomy and re-embedding of human tissue specimens from patients enrolled in clinical trials.


• Utilize knowledge and experience with histology samples to maintain proper storage conditions and facilitate processing of blocks and slides (stained and unstained).


• Perform slide scanning as required and according to protocols.


• Prepare workstation, instrumentation and maintenance on instruments and/or equipment daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually. Ability to adequately maintain accurate records and both adhere to Standard Operating Procedures.


• Reagents, material and supplies monitoring.


• Adheres to safety and occupational health policies and standards.

Education/Qualifications:

• Medical Technologist (CFC holder) or Pharmaceutical Biology Technologist (CFC holder) orMedical Technologist (Swiss State School of Medical Technologist Degree holder) or Medical Technologist (BTS, DUT, IUT Degree holder)

Experience:

At least 6-months previous experience in histology laboratory
