Laborant Process Technology (m/f/n)
Purpose and scope of the position
• Contribution to innovative process technology solutions for new or existing active ingredients
• Independent planning and processing of chemical syntheses and processes under general guidelines
• Largely independent optimisation of laboratory and pilot processes taking into account economic, ecological and process safety aspects
• Generation of important process data: Solubility, reaction mechamism, thermodyminamics and kinetics.
Accountabilities:
• Acts as a role model for compliance with regulations (HSE: laboratory rules, guidelines and instructions) and ensures safety, cleanliness and order in the laboratory. Reports any malfunctions and independently takes measures to prevent and remedy them.
• Independently designs and commissions experimental setups.
• Keeps detailed and comprehensible records of the results of work and observations made in test protocols with details of the purpose of the test and evaluates the results and conclusions.
• Strives to use the available resources efficiently and is responsible for the careful handling and maintenance of laboratory equipment and instruments. Draws the supervisor's attention to any bottlenecks or free capacities in good time.
• Independently carries out simple to complex experiments in accordance with general objectives using standard and special laboratory equipment.
• Contributes actively to the introduction of new processes (in-house or with third parties).
Qualifications:
• At least 3 years of professional experience
• Good oral and written German and English skills.
• Good knowledge of standard computer applications (Office, ELN, Mat Ref and Starlims) and interest in laboratory automation software (HitecZang, Labview, Systag).
• Well organised and plans work according to targets and deadlines.
