In close collaboration with trusted industrial partner, universities and in-house institutes, the AO Foundation constantly develops new operation techniques, implant, instruments, and clinical solutions under the medical guidance of independent surgeons. The AO is the leading innovator in the surgical treatment of bone fractures and disorders. Innovation at the AO goes from bench to bedside, including basic research and innovation, product development, and clinical validation. The AO Innovation Translation Center (AO ITC) streamlines and drives innovation projects. As part of the AO ITC, together with Clinical Operations, Clinical Science is the AO's clinical research provider. We produce clinical evidence that is highly relevant to current trauma and orthopedics practices for better patient care, provide medical and scientific support for AO clinical studies and conduct health economics projects in collaboration with a network of renowned health economics experts.

 

For this new and permanent position we are looking for the following highly motivated person to support our team in Davos or Dübendorf:


Project Manager Statistical Programming (100%)

 

In this role you will be required to independently fulfill all tasks related to all phases of AOCID assigned clinical research projects and to ensure high quality standards for statistical programming and data management and monitoring activities, such as



  • Creation, validation and management of statistical codes for study-related activities, including monitoring activities (e.g. reports, graphs, listings)

  • Development, validation and maintenance of SAS Macros for statistical analysis and monitoring

  • Implementation of codes according to data management plans (DMPs) and statistical analysis plans (SAPs)

  • Development of codes for ad-hoc requests

  • Development of Data Validation Plans (DVP), programming of inconsistency reports according to DVP, supporting data cleaning and data clarification activities

  • Development and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for statistical programming (validation, documentation)

  • Database development in Electronic Data Capture Systems (EDCs) & database validation


In order to master this challenge, you have



  • MSc or Bachelor's degree in numerical/computational sciences/mathematics or equivalent

  • Advanced SAS skills (Base SAS, SAS/STAT, SAS Graph, SAS Macro Language, SQL),

  • At least 3 years of experience with statistical programming

  • Basic knowledge of statistics

  • Numerical and analytical skills

  • Attention to detail and reliability

  • Team player

  • Good communication skills (internally and with external stakeholders)

  • Fluent in English (oral and written)
