Join us as an Avaloq Software Engineer

• We’re looking for a dynamic and talented Avaloq Software Engineer with focus on Portfolio Management related topics


• You’ll have the opportunity to engage on discretionary project work, working closely with a team of end users & business analysts located in London

What you'll do

You’ll be supporting projects by designing, developing and managing Avaloq PL/SQL code base using Agile methodologies. You’ll play a key part in the maintenance delivery and will analyse and propose solutions, in close collaboration with Business Users and Product Owner.

Throughout the course of your work, you’ll enable collaboration with internal resources, including Developers, Architects, Stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts, as well as external resources, such as 3rd party suppliers. This will ensure a fit-for-purpose, end-to-end functionality.

Additionally, you’ll be:

• Consulting business and technical end users


• Performing technical testing activities during release cycles


• Providing 3rd Level Support with incidents, monthly on-call support


• Interface and 3rd party application maintenance

The skills you'll need

To be successful in this role, you’ll need software development experience in Avaloq Script and you’ll be a specialist in Avaloq parameterisation, with solid knowledge of PL/SQL. You’ll have a university degree or equivalent in computer science or engineering, coupled with domain knowledge of the Financial Services industry and investments in particular. And if you have experience with swissQuant this would be an advantage.

You’ll also need:

• Avaloq certification


• Software development and project management skills


• Previous experience in Portfolio Management and Performance


• Solid understanding of relational databases


• Experience in debugging within Avaloq/Oracle


• A very good command of English and excellent communication skills


• A flexible, proactive and responsible way of working and the ability to deliver high quality and resilient solutions within Avaloq
