As a , you will be empowered towork in coordination with , In this role, you will contribute to Takeda’s mission by having the ability to lead effectively and work concurrently across multiple projects in a goal-oriented, timeline-driven, and dynamic work environment, while ensuring quality and accuracy. A typical day will include:


OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE 


The Business Excellence Lead for the Product Operations works in partnership across Product groups (Biologics, Onco Small Molecule, Plasma) and product operations leaders to ensure consistent and standardized roll-out and timely completion of product objectives and deliverables such as Product Strategy Documents, Risk Analysis, Governance Documents, as well as leading initiatives spanning all Product Ops functions. Will lead, facilitate, and drive business performance across product operations. Manages Product Ops internal communications channels



  • Project or program manage common business initiatives which cross all 3 manufacturing plat-forms to ensure common approach and solutions

  • Lead strategy deployment to ensure alignment of Product operations goals to company and GMS strategies & objectives.  Leads performance reviews to ensure timely execution and value realisation of product ops led initiatives.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiates across the operating model and core processes that Pro-duct operations owns and executes e.g. LRF, MRP, Risk analysis

  • Leads Product Operations collaboration sessions to enhance learning, improvement, standardisation and alignment.

  • Define and maintain product operations governance processes, provide leadership for enhancing collaboration and governance as needed.

  • Lead product level consolidation for OpU roll up to ensure consistent strategy & action planning


ACCOUNTABILITIES 



  • Project or program manage common business initiatives which cross all 3 manufacturing plat-forms to ensure common approach and solutions

  • Develop and execute Product Operations-wide internal communications plans. Aligns Takeda, GMS, and SBE messaging with Product Operations communications

  • Manage Product Operations internal & external communications and knowledge management channels, including MS Teams, Sharepoint, Product Ops Forums, and more.

  • Leads Product Operations Strategy deployment sessions ensuring alignment to global product teams, GMSGQ, BU and company goals.  Owns associated governance to ensure on-time execution and value realization

  • Leads continuous improvement across processes led or executed by production operations.  Includes gathering input, developing improvement opportunities, executing enhancements and associated training & change management.

  • Governance: Establish and manage the governance structure for Product Operations, ensuring clear lines of communication and decision-making. Be the product operations point of con-tact for SBE-led processes to ensure efficient and effective process of benchmarking and help identification of continuous improvement opportunities.


CORE ELEMENTS RELATED TO THIS ROLE 



  • Strong project management and data management skills. Organized, creative, and able to adapt to changing environments

  • Solid understanding of the role of Product Operations and how it contributes to achieving the broader business objectives. Balances strategic awareness and direction setting with a focus on achieving consistent tactical results.

  • Familiar with Operational Excellence methodologies and their applications, able to apply a selection to relevant improvements opportunities.

  • Working knowledge of product lifecycle and/or Supply Chain planning, capacity planning, & manufacturing operations

  • Strong communications capability includes an ability to write and tailor content for stakeholder holder audiences.

  • Knowledge and experience in Bio-Pharmaceutical Manufacturing


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS


Essential:



  • 5-10 years relevant pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical or related industry experience

  • Demonstrated experience leading high priority initiatives within a matrix organization.

  • Demonstrated experience & skills in process ownership & continuous improvement of same

  • Experience in continuous improvement methodologies with demonstrated application

  • Demonstrated experience & skills in project and program management

  • Experience in co-ordinating cross-functional, global teams. Ability to build positive working relationships across global teams. Strong networking and interpersonal skills.


Preferred:



  • B.S. degree in Technical Discipline, Business, Finance, Science or related field.

  • Master’s Degree, MBA, or related business degree

  • Understanding of global supply chain operations

  • Experience in developing and/or evaluating feasibility assessments of pro-jects/technologies/assets - considering technical and business relevant aspects.

  • Experience in benchmarking industry operations to include but not limited to technology trends and their associated application to the industry.
