Job Description



  • Work Objectives


  • Provide support and guidance for the P2P process to the R&D Europe user community. Becoming a super user/key authority

  • Oversee and manage vendor contracts as they pertain to R&D Europe Regional Center and R&D Zurich site engagement activities

  • Maintain oversight of high-level processes for key business functions e.g Procurement, Legal & Finance, providing guidance to R&D Europe user community on processes

  • Maintain distribution lists, FTEs and contractor lists, keeping data up to date and relevant

  • Provide onsite administrative support to R&D Zurich teams, as may be required

  • Co-ordinate R&D Europe Leadership Team meetings. Create agendas, maintain minutes of meetings and deliver on actionable items

  • Create and drive deliverables as they pertain to the R&D Europe Regional Center, including PowerPoint presentations, Excel spreadsheets

  • Provide project management to key, and often confidential business projects

  • Manage strategic initiatives, under leadership of R&D Strategy & Business Operations Lead, as they pertain to ERC KPIs

  • Plan and manage internal and external events, including venues, catering, meeting materials

  • Be an active ambassador and driver for an engaging culture; build trust and productive relationships with team members and stakeholders across organization

  • Provide support, as required, to R&D Europe Communications Lead to on communication strategy across Europe, including support of social media activities, R&D Europe Newsletter, internal and external communication, PR support for R&D during exhibitions and conferences; Zurich R&D Site activities

  • Reporting to: Head, R&D Europe Regional Center

  • Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree or 7+ years related experience in an R&D environment is required

  • Demonstrated administrational experience in a professional environment

  • Experience with Takeda’s processes would be an advantage

  • Self-motivated, self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team

  • Strong interpersonal skills combined with cultural sensitivity

  • Effective communication with individuals at all levels of the organization

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to multi-task, be flexible and able to prioritize efficiently

  • Must be able to handle confidential information and issues effectively

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications specifically: PowerPoint, MSWord & Excel

  • Professional English essential
