What we do


 


The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) works worldwide to provide humanitarian assistance to people affected by conflict and armed violence. We take action in response to emergencies and at the same time promote respect for international humanitarian law. We are an independent and neutral organization, and our mandate stems essentially from the Geneva Conventions of 1949. We work closely with National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and with their International Federation in order to ensure a concerted, rational and rapid humanitarian response to the needs of the victims of armed conflict or any other situation of internal violence. We direct and coordinate the international activities conducted in these situations.


Purpose of the position


 


Are you an IAM Platform owner with a minimum of 10 years of experience? We have an exciting opportunity for you!


 


The IAM Platform owner is a professional in user Identity management and in access management to information systems. As a specialist, they are responsible for implementing, developing and maintaining the IAM related IT solutions used by the ICRC, and the related processes.


 


The IAM Platform owner provides the IAM tools and environment needed for projects and applications. They provide management tools to administrate those environments and provide expertise to the definition of processes user guidelines.


 


As a specialist, the IAM Platform owner will have the role of technical lead within a team of specialists. Within this team, they will enforce the IAM tools and processes.


 


They will give advice and bring their knowledge and skills to new projects within the organization. They will validate the integrations within the infrastructure whilst respecting the established regulations. The IAM Platform owner will support the operations teams and will bring them their expertise when it comes to problem-solving.


Relationships


 



  • ICT Transversal: interacts with all ICT colleagues;

  • Relevant Business Units that need support with IAM fields;

  • With the different concerned suppliers and technical partners.


Main duties and responsibilities


 



  • Ensure the coherence of IAM fields elements;

  • Guarantee the evolution and the optimization of the IAM IT Solutions;

  • Guarantee the coherence and integration of new IAM Solutions;

  • Anticipate needs in terms of IAM solutions and evolution;

  • Bring new solutions and new designs to answer to the evolving needs of the organization;

  • Ensure the technical coherence and integration of IAM projects;

  • Within the IAM team, prepare all needed changes, implement them and document them;

  • Manage potential issues linked to the IAM solutions and their management;

  • Contribute to the definition of standards and architecture conventions;

  • Ensure operational processes for IAM partners;

  • Prepare content, support and documentation for operational teams;

  • Flexible and capable of working with a certain level of uncertainties;

  • Available to travel on an ad-hoc basis to meet with partners.


Education and experience required


 



  • Information Technology Engineer degree (or equivalent);

  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in the IT domain, more than 5 years in IAM service implementation;

  • In-depth knowledge and experience with the Active Directory Services (AD), Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) and Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM);

  • In-depth knowledge of Windows environments and related Microsoft AD technologies;

  • Demonstrated experience in managing Identity Management and Governance (IAM/IGA) tools;

  • Knowledge and experience in Identity Management, Authentication and Access Systems;

  • Knowledge of authentication protocols;

  • Excellent command of English and French.


Desired profile and skills


 



  • Comprehensive experience with IAM technologies such as Provisioning, Federation, Role/Entitlement Reviews, Multi Factor Authentication and Access Management;

  • Demonstrated scripting experience for task automation and knowledge of SQL language;

  • Knowledge of project processes and associated quality rules and operating constraints;

  • Knowledge of HR management processes and ID lifecycle;

  • Team player with good listening and communication skills;

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to coordinate players across different teams, with no direct reporting relationship.
