Your tasks
The sustainability officer is a key contributor to the strategic direction and execution of the division’s sustainability strategy. He/she works globally and cross-functionally with passion to define, coordinate, align and proactively implement sustainability initiatives encompassing the entire value chain for divisional products and services. He/she is the interface with key internal and external stakeholders or business partners on the company’s sustainability initiatives to support our strategic direction with a positive impact on business, environment and society.
The function is a direct report of the Head of Quality GFMS with a tight link to GF Corporate Sustainability Office (GF)
Your responsibilities :
Defining a global sustainability roadmap for our division along the entire value chain considering market and customer requirements. Ensure alignment with corporate.
Implement such sustainability concepts via effective improvement programs, projects and facilitate the integration with different business areas.
Organise, provide and support material for our communication department, coordinate sustainability communication roadmap, with the ability to translate complex science into actionable tasks.
Steer the change management required by the implementation of such programs.
Define relevant KPIs and collecting data to evaluate the initiatives impact, identify trends in GF Machining Solutions sustainability performance and maintain timely reporting dashboards.
Support our reporting system, monitor progress, maturity analysis, impact assessment and other reporting related topics.
Ensure to keep our guidance and practices continuously updated versus market expectations, customer and legislation requirements.
Your profile
Post-graduate degree in engineering, natural sciences, bioengineering, sustainability management or similar; additional MBA is desired
Professional experience, master taxonomy for sustainability activities and 5 years back ground in a sustainability related function
Experience in relationship building and negotiation of partnership agreements
Strong analytical skills paired with a good sense of pragmatism
Project management expertise on implementing complex projects in matrix organisations
Strength in strategic thinking, analytics and program execution
Excellent ability to collaborate with internal / external stakeholders with outstanding verbal and written communication skills to drive sustainability initiatives
Team player with a global mind-set and a high level of cultural awareness
Fluent in English and German, additional languages are a welcome
