Your responsibilities



  • Contribute to the identification and development of new market opportunities in collaboration with the wider Sales team, drive sales volume and margin across the Robotics portfolio

  • Focus, acquire, and develop new customers for a sustainable growth in our customer portfolio within the German speaking part of Switzerland

  • Implement the sales strategy by acquiring new customers and penetrating the installed base, promote new products and systems, various upgrade, retrofit and value add solutions to the benefit of the customer and ABB

  • Provide an excellent customer service, advise customers individually and elaborate together with customer and internal engineering team the best solution by distributing the entire Robotics product portfolio (incl service)

  • Establish long-term customer relationships by understanding customer requirements and applicable regulations, respond immediately to requests and demonstrate in-depth technical product/solutions knowledge

  • Lead contract negotiations considering technical and commercial aspects, manage associated administrative sales processes (e.g. bid proposal management)

  • Prepare and review sales plans and propose recovery actions when needed to ensure all targets are met

  • Actively promote ABB’s Robotics products and solutions during various marketing activities (trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences, customer meetings) while monitoring customer and market trends to develop effective marketing activities in collaboration with the Marketing team


Your background



  • University degree or diploma of higher education (TS/HF) in a technical field, preferably in machine automation or robotics

  • More than two years of experience in a sales role

  • Experience in industrial automation as well as the relevant Swiss market

  • Knowledge of contract negotiation, risk management and commercial, technical and legal terms

  • Proven ability to develop and manage customer relationships

  • A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills

  • Fluency in German and English, French skills are a plus
