We are currently seeking an Asset Manager (m/f/d) for the Active Ingredients Production (AIP) Group in Monthey (VS).


Role purpose:
-Guarantee the HSEQ compliance in the AIP production sector 
-Have technical, organizational, financial and managerial responsibility for a production line and its annexes 
-Manage the performance of the production line by identifying key performance indicators (KPI) and setting up the MES parameters 
-Support the OpEx and continuous improvement initiatives in the sector 
-Have line responsibility for team leaders and plan the resources and skills required for the sector
-Be the reference for training activities in the production unit and ensure the development of production resources


Accountabilities:
-Ensure that Syngenta HSEQ regulations and standards are followed in terms of application of procedures
-Encourage and participate in Opex initiatives (A3, Tier..)


Responsibilities on the production line:
-Ensure compliance with the production plan and liaise with the planning and maintenance team
-Write operational procedures 
-Be responsible for the operational costs and ensure the reporting 
-Monitor and measure the performance of the production line (output, yield, etc.)
-Lead the development and the implementation of the continuous improvement plan for operational performance (HSEQ, OEE, SOX, Savings, TPC) 
-Analyse and resolve technical production problems in a structured manner, in close collaboration with support services (process technology, maintenance, logistics, planning, etc.) 


Responsibilities on the production line:
-Define and evaluate the objectives of the team leaders and coach them to improve their managerial skills 
-Manage end of year appraisals and ensure performance monitoring of production teams. 
-Implement the succession plan and development plan for operators and team leaders
-Develop resource flexibility 
-Plan the maintenance activities with AM, AT, PAM, PAT colleagues and team leaders 
-Replace the Production Manager when necessary, including with external stakeholders (e.g. supply chain)
-Be the catalyst for continuous improvement in the sector (including MES)
-Have a good general view of the chemical processes in the sector and support his/her AT and PAT colleagues
-Participate to the implementation of the new projects in the production unit and ensure their commissioning
 

 

Qualifications

 

Requirements
-Master’s/bachelor’s degree in chemistry or chemical engineering or equivalent degree with at least 5 years professional experience
-Experience in team management is essential
-Good knowledge of HSEQ standards in a chemical or pharmaceutical production site
-Excellent knowledge of process and operational risk management and thermal safety concepts
-Knowledge of chemical engineering and production equipment
-Good understanding of production and work processes including IT systems
-Leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
-Fluent in French and very good knowledge in English.
