Essential to have:



  • German as a mother tongue

  • Qualified teaching status

  • Understanding of Middle School philosophy and best practice

  • Experience teaching German as a foreign language at the middle school level (grades 6-8)

  • Ability to differentiate for diverse learning needs

  • Effective communication skills with students, colleagues and parents

  • Very good knowledge of written and spoken English

  • Experience using digital technology to support student learning

  • Commitment to teamwork, collaboration, and active participation in school life


Very desirable to have:



  • EDK teaching status recognition

  • Experience working in an International School context

  • Experience in developing German continua
