PROJECT SPECIALIST, NET ZERO CARBON CITIES
The World Economic Forum, committed to improving the state of the world, is the International Organization for Public-Private Cooperation.
The Forum engages the foremost political, business and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas.
Why we are recruiting
The Platform for Shaping the Future of Energy, Materials and Infrastructure aims to accelerate the transition to a more sustainable, secure, and affordable energy system, and to maximize the net social and economic value delivered by materials.
Urban Ecosystems are the epicenter of global energy demand and emissions. Cities h ost over half of the world population and are consuming 78% of the world’s primary energy, mostly driven by power, buildings and transportation.
The World Economic Forum is collaborating with 70 public and private sector stakeholders, across 10 different sectors, to drive the necessary transformations across business and policy in the city-ecosystem. Crucial is action on “systemic efficiency”. Specifically, to expand renewable energy, to increase clean electrification of transportation and heating, to ensure everything from factories and homes to transport systems and consumer devices become more energy efficient and to improve innovation on materials and infrastructure delivery models.
