Sourcing Manager (Supplier EHS Data Attributes) – Temporary role till end of April 2022

The Position

The Diagnostics Direct Procurement Organization belongs to Diagnostics Global Operations. For our own manufactured products and the materials purchased from suppliers, EHS (environmental, health and safety) data attributes have to be properly maintained in our internal database. The Sourcing Manager will be the project member in the global project and manage all Procurement related tasks.

The Sourcing Manager requests suppliers to deliver data attributes for the purchased materials. Communication, training towards the supplier have to be build up. The position will centrally coordinate activities within Procurement. Together with the project team and IT, the process has to be build up and implemented.

The Sourcing Manager coordinates all activities within Direct Procurement to collect EHS Data Attributes from Suppliers.

Key Requirements

• Project Management Skills: Professionally manage and coordinate the procurement related tasks in this global project


• Communication Skills: Communicate and interact with suppliers (English and German)


• Data Handling Skills: Analyze and process data


• System Skills: Be familiar with ERP systems, preferably procurement master data


• Education: Bachelor Degree


• Chemical background – be familiar with substance data attributes and safety data information
