Senior Software Requirements Engineer (f/m)

 

For our “Advanced Manufacturing SW” department, headquartered in Switzerland with additional teams in Italy, Spain, and Poland, we are looking for a highly skilled professional to help us transform our vision of smart manufacturing into reality.


 


Key Responsibilities



  • The Requirement Engineer is working closely together with the Product Owner for the identification and prioritization of the features of our future CAM/CIM products as well as the Technical Leader and the development team for the implementation of the current features. In this function, he/she analyses such SW features into granular, ready-to-develop User-Stories, co-designs User-Interfaces, and manages the backlog.

  • Working closely with our Support and Solutions teams for the maintenance of our existing CAM/CIM products. In this role, he/she analyses the standard behaviors, but also tailor-made features intended for key-account-customer projects, as well as bugs and manages the relevant ticketing tools.

  • Working daily with the agile team, coordinates the development, monitors the development speed, and administrates the development procedure. In this function, he/she is responsible for the effective assignment, distribution of the development tasks and performance of the team.

  • Working together with our Testing & Documentation team for the prescription and planning of the automated tests and the respective quality criteria applying to upcoming releases, as well as contributes to the release of the appropriate documentation, notes, and marketing material.


 


Qualifications



  • University degree or degree from university of Applied Sciences (BSc, FH) in a relevant field, preferable Computer Science, Computer-, Electrical-, or Mechanical Engineering

  • Understanding of Operational Management procedures, such as i.e. manufacturing planning or common logistics operations (i.e. receiving, shipping, picking, and sorting); experience in specifying CAM/CIM, MRP, or MES products will be considered a plus.

  • Experience in applying agile development processes (i.e. SCRUM, KANBAN). Experience in the role as Scrum Master is a significant plus

  • Knowledge of SW modelling languages (i.e. UML, Gherkin), modern UI/UX design and wire-framing tools (i.e. Balsamiq), software-development tools (i.e. Jira SW, Jira SD, Confluence, Git).

  • Understanding of computer science fundamentals, design patterns, and data modelling (OOP, Databases, XML, JSON); hands-on development experience in C# .NET, Java, or Javascript/Typescript, will be considered a plus.

  • Strong communication skills, commitment, and willingness to work in an agile environment.

  • Working proficiency in English; working proficiency in German is a must
