Overview of the role


Our highly skilled team of Proposition Sales Specialists are accountable for executing Refinitiv`s strategy for growth and market differentiation. They work with and provide market insight to our Product Management, Market Development and Account Management teams to support execution of this strategy.


The role of the Proposition Sales Specialist, within the high performing Enterprise team, will focus on PRS Data Feed solutions primarily into Financial Institution`s Front Office Operations.


You will be tasked with executing our strategy for long term sustainable growth of our footprint in this area through an understanding of market and competitive dynamics and will detail and drive Sales execution . The role will require the successful candidate strong direction setting and influencing skills to work with the local Account Management teams to deliver results.


Role Responsibilities:


As Proposition Sales Specialist you will be seen as the specialist when it comes to selling our Real Time Data Solutions and will be accountable for driving growth and revenue



  • Provide in-depth customer and market insights, to identify new business opportunities and drive the sales process

  • Execute through strong collaborative relationships across matrixed functions, including Product, Marketing, Market Development, Account Management and external partners

  • Provide input to the creation and development of comprehensive business cases based on growth opportunities and ensuring alignment with overall strategic direction.

  • Monitor all aspects of key competitors, analyzing their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats and develop strategies to achieve competitive advantage

  • Drive thought leadership agenda as the internal and external spokesperson for your proposition, supporting community building

  • Strong eye for business and commercial strategy skills

  • Able to influence individuals as well as groups in meetings

  • Ability to work to tight deadlines in a high performance and inspiring environment

  • Proactively identify pipeline opportunities

  • Structure, negotiate and close deals

  • Develop sales strategy for the proposition within assigned territory

  • Deliver customer demonstrations on their specific propositions


Required skills and Experience



  • Proven Sales Track Record

  • Highly Driven and Self Motivated Knowledge and direct experience in selling solutions to the Financial Services

  • Experience in selling Real Time market data-feeds into the financial services..

  • Outstanding selling skills

  • Creative problem solver and good sales ideation skills

  • Presentation skills (verbal & written)

  • Strong listening skills and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to prioritize and execute a sales plan

  • Proven track record in a quota bearing sales environment

  • Experience selling to C- level executive



  • Selling historical tick data and market data platforms to aggregate and distribute streaming content.

  • Prior experience in selling Enterprise Solutions

  • Demonstrable track record of consistently exceeding sales targets within a high paced pressurised environment

  • Good understanding of the Financial Services and Competitor Landscape


Deep market understanding including:



  • expert-level understanding of financial market

  • strong understanding of customers' business model workflow
