Job reference: WD-0004782 What's the role? Join our innovative team in Business Unit Screw Fastening to drive product development and enhance productivity and safety for our customers. In the Energy and Industry team, our development engineers and product manager work closely together to further strengthen our product portfolio and react to our customers’ needs. You will drive an initiative of high relevance to our customers, by understanding their applications and requirements, and creating and validating a method of testing solutions to strengthen the value proposition of our fastening on steel solution.



Start date is flexible to the student's availability, preferred start between 1st April and 1st June, duration 6 months or longer if desired. Who is Hilti? What does the role involve? As an intern in our department you’ll be part of the Business Unit Screw Fastening team. You’ll work closely with our team to further develop our market leading solutions.



Your key responsibilities will be supporting the development team in technical investigations and product development projects. Your main project will include investigating competitor solutions and customer requirements, ideation of solutions, and subsequently testing and validating them. Furthermore, you will analyse the results from product testing, and have the opportunity to share these results in the broader business unit development community. You will work closely with our development and test engineers, project leaders and product management, who will empower you to make an impact on the future product portfolio and, ultimately, for our customers. • Bachelor/Master’s student in engineering studies, mechanical engineering preferred


• Good knowledge of mechanics


• Affinity for hands on testing and data analysis skills


• Familiar with an independent work style and ready to take responsibility in own area of competence


• Good communication skills in English.


• Collaborative team-player
