As a Senior Quality (Management) Engineer you will lead cross-functional teams drive efforts to develop and build Satellite Communication Hardware & Systems of high quality. You will review in-house Engineering developments & design changes for QA requirements and ensure the documentation in the PLM-system. The role also includes the identification and management of key suppliers.



  • Deliver solutions to complex problems through in-depth data analysis and forensics by using methodical approaches, along with experience, innovation and judgment to make decisions that may be based on partial information.

  • Determine specific quality-related deliverables and align to proper functional milestones during NPI & PLM workflow

  • Teaming with R&D, Production Engineering and supply chain to drive supplier excellence initiatives

  • Partnering with suppliers to drive their ownership of quality and joint resolution of issues and innovation

  • Driving continuous improvement and corrective/preventive action with a focus on error-proofing and prevention

  • Well versed in Internal and supplier compliance and capability auditing and assessments

  • Ensuring Advanced Product Quality Planning is deployed across the New Product Development Life Cycle with quality built into the design, manufacturability, and serviceability

  • Ensuring RCCA process provides prompt resolution and robust solutions to prevent recurrence, focusing on mistake proofing and process improvement

Requirements



  • 10+ years as a Quality Engineer; in space, aerospace and/or defense environment

  • Extended knowledge in contemporary PLM/ERP workflows

  • Understanding of state of the art PWB/PWA-technology

  • Working knowledge of GD & T and resulting quality measures

  • Proficiency with AS9100 / AS9110 / ISO 9001 QMS value, requirements interconnections and system maintenance

  • Hands on experience working in a multi-functional team covering, hardware/software R&D, supplier quality, product quality assurance across a wide range of products for both land, space, and airborne systems

  • Strong analytical, communication, facilitation and interaction skills.

  • Successfully worked with suppliers and/or subcontractors implementing corrective actions and improvements

  • Experience managing and performing all aspects of failure investigations and FRACAS

  • Use of quality improvement tools such as 8D, Six-Sigma, Kiazen and metric management and reporting

  • Ability to communicate fluent in English at all levels both internally and externally.

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher technician education in a technical field

  • Up to 25% travel domestic and international

Preferences



  • Understanding or REACH, RoHS and WEEE requirements.

  • Understanding of FAA and EASA requirements for airborne products, RTCA DO-160G

  • Understanding of IPC 610 & 620 requirements

  • AS-9100 or ISO-9001 Lead Auditor trained.

  • Familiar with ATF 16949:2016 International Standard for Automotive Quality Management Systems

  • Lean and/or Six Sigma Certification and applied knowledge base / experience

  • Passion for reliability improvements and data gathering.
