Non-Functional Test Engineer Lead

The NFT Lead is responsible for assuring that SDX platform meets all non-functional requirements, including but not limited to performance, resiliency, scalability and operability.
You will work closely with Product Managers, Architects and Business Analysts to elicit requirements, define non-functional testing strategy and deliver its implementation.

What You Will Do

• Responsible for managing a team of NFT Engineers responsible for the end-to-end non-functional testing of the SDX platform (key: performance and operational acceptance testing)


• Drive the scoping of non-functional test areas, continuously engaging with Program Managers, Delivery Leads, Architects and Business Analyst to ensure that all non-functional requirements are covered and risks are adequately mitigated


• Be a champion of NFT culture in the company: design and implement a NFT knowledge base, ensuring an ongoing maintenance of NFT knowledge artefacts; organize knowledge transfer sessions with DevOps, to make NFT practices an integral part of the CI/CD process


• Define and maintain the performance test environment and prioritize and drive the issue resolution process


• Investigate the bottlenecks in performance and work with Architecture team to find out the corrective actions. It doesn't stop there – you will work with PMs to prioritize the implementation of corrective actions


• Continuous review and improvement of the NFT tooling set-up, included but not limited to load testing, logging and reporting and APM tools

What You Bring

• 10+ years of experience in non-functional testing management (load, performance and resiliency testing mandatory, from application and infrastructure perspective) 


• Expert in performance and operational acceptance testing, you have successfully implemented NFT strategies on complex projects in Banking domain  


• Domain experience in Trading, Securities Clearing and Settlement will be a definitive advantage, as would an understanding of Distributed Ledger Technologies like Corda from R3, Hyperledger etc. 


• Thorough understanding of containerized, microservice and distributed architecture - experience in Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift will also be a definitive advantage 


• Experience of leading third-party service providers to deliver testing services 


• Strong knowledge of DevOps and Agile delivery practices, as well as a disciplined approach to planning, execution and reporting
