Within the Supply Chain Europe Purchasing department we are looking for a motivated Category Manager Electronic to join our team in Locarno, Switzerland.

Category Manager Electronic (80-100%)

     The Category Manager Electronic will be responsible for defining and implementing the most suitable sourcing strategy for the electronic components, creating value through the continous optimization of costs, quality and availability of the suppliers base. Your key responsibilities include: 

• Develop strategic sourcing plans, including "make or buy" decisions and adequate risk assessment


• Execute and manage strategic supply base rationalisation activities


• Lead external supplier related contract negotiations


• Lead and manage Total Cost Reduction related activities


• Lead and influence supplier selection for engineering projects


• Co-ordinate and manage Supply Chain Optimization related activities through cross functional teams

 You are a result-oriented and energetic self-starter, feeling at ease in a very dynamic environment with the ability to prioritize and excellent communication skills. Furthermore, you possess the following qualifications:

• Bachelor Engineering Degree, preferable Electrical/Electronics


• Knowledge of the electronic market


• Demonstrated knowledge in application of strategic sourcing and category sourcing concepts


• Professional experience in international projects / change management


• Ability to proactively build relationships and manage expectations across internal & external stakeholders


• English, additional languages are considered a plus
