To support our Global Quality Team within the Advanced Materials division, we are looking for a Global QMS and Supplier Quality Manager, with global responsibility and strong focus on systems and supplier management. The position is a full time and permanent contract located in our European Headquarters in Basel (Switzerland) or in our Global Headquarter in The Woodlands, TX (US).

In this role, your main tasks and responsibilities will be:

• Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) for the Advanced Materials division to address the certification requirements, evolving business needs, and provide alignment and understanding across the division


• Collaborate with Global Quality Director and Regional Customer Quality Managers to ensure that division QMS meets the needs of all Regions, the certification and customers’ requirements and is effectively implemented and continuously improved


• Manage the Supplier Quality organization to assure with Purchasing that suppliers are within compliance with the QMS and Customer requirements


• Collaborate with Manufacturing Sites, Purchasing, Legal and Product management to incorporate key quality requirements in supplier contracts


• Proactively work with suppliers to ensure the highest quality product/service is received for use in a timely manner


• Ensure with Purchasing that supplier nonconformities are addressed and appropriately closed to achieve internal and external customer satisfaction and warrant continuous improvement


• Provide sound Quality input to Purchasing regarding supplier selection and support Purchasing in monitoring and improving suppliers’ quality performance


• Responsible for and main contact with division’s certification body. This includes budget, schedule coordination, and reporting


• Accountable for assurance of Internal Audit plans and capabilities for the division and Basel site as well as conducting Internal Audits to maintain certifications and continuous improvement


• Responsible for preparation and execution of external audits for the Basel site


• Work with Global Quality Director and Regional Customer Quality Managers to communicate and establish compliance with customers’ contractual agreements amongst the division and cascade to suppliers


• Lead to completion the project to implement a new IMS/QMS system and its modules for the division Advanced Materials


• Participate in key regional projects


• Ensure that all their activities are in line with Environment, Health and Safety principles, Ethics & Compliance and International Trade Compliance guidelines

Requirements:

• University degree, or, alternatively have a formal qualification in the management of Quality Systems meeting recognized standards such as ISO 9001


• Certified Lead Auditor for ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949 and/or AS/EN9100 is mandatory


• Several years’ experience in quality management, interpretation, and practical application of ISO in a multi-cultural environment and practical understanding of business processes


• Excellent communication at all levels in the organisation and negotiation skills


• Good project management skills


• Proactive, entrepreneurial mind-set and excellent organizational skills are needed


• Excellent oral and written English is required, any European languages is a plus
