Job Description


The HRBP provides high quality HR service to line management and client groups, anticipating and responding to local management’s needs and advising them on their people management responsibilities. The HRBP proactively establishes strong working relationship with client group and seeks to understand key business issues and their impact on HR. The HRBP translates and implements the site business plans in the form of an HR strategy. The HRBP acts also as a liaison between the client and other HR services (CoE and Shared services).


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Strategy & Planning:



  • Work closely with client group and Leadership team and support in the implementation Business plans, highlighting potential HR-related business opportunities or weaknesses

  • Proactively build and establish strong relationships with client group as well as with the extended HR community to understand their needs, requirements and challenges

  • Support and execute tactical workforce planning in alignment with the client’s Business plan

  • Support the budget planning discussions

  • Provide change management support to transformation and restructuring efforts

  • Ensure recruiting and retention of best-in-class talent for key positions at predefined level within the Business Unit, in close cooperation with the Staffing expert(s)

  • Support in ensuring that rewards and incentives are implemented in order to achieve the Client group’s goals, in close cooperation with the C&B experts


People & Organization:



  • Advise line managers on effective performance management and resourcing decisions; drive Talent Reviews, succession planning and advises on talent management for client groups

  • Support line managers in all coaching, mentoring and personal development within their teams

  • Ensure effective training and development for client  groups, following learning priorities and guidelines defined by Corporate and act as channel to communicate learning needs to appropriate specialist unit

  • Support cultural change and foster diversity and inclusion within the client groups

  • Supports internal communication, especially around HR-sensitive issues (values, advancement, motivation etc.)


Monitoring & Control:



  • Contribute to personnel cost planning, performing periodic cost and productivity analyses to support Finance and the Line in maintaining workforce budgets

  • Ensure adherence to relevant labor and employment law.

  • Help coordinate procedure and technology solutions to improve data management

  • Participate in, or lead HR Projects

  • Ensure execution and adherence to company HR principles, practices and policies, and be the department expert on all policies


Education & Experience:



  • University degree in HR, Social Sciences, Business Degree or equivalent management experience.

  • 5 to 8 years’ experience in HR Generalist role within an international company

  • Experience in Pharma/ Medical device or Biotech as well as in Manufacturing environment would be a plus

  • Fluent in French and English

  • Excellent communication and listening skills

  • Highly developed interpersonal and organizational skills within a team environment

  • Proven track record of cross-functional influence

  • Personal accountability for results and integrity

  • Agile minded / capable to think out of the box

  • Enthusiastic, decisive, motivating and convincing
