Strategic Risk Manager

Your field of responsibility

 

Join our Strategic Risk Coverage team and take responsibility for the performance of regular and ad-hoc risk reviews and deep dives at a strategic level for businesses, portfolios and products with a material risk profile within the Swiss Universal Bank (SUB) and Global Treasury divisions. These activities support the goal of our team to facilitate the understanding and visualization of potential vulnerabilities in our business activities and highlight material risk developments and emerging risks. Insights and recommendations are discussed with our partners across the business units as well as Risk and Finance stakeholders and presented to (senior) governance bodies such as business-level Risk Management Committees (RMCs). The team therefore plays an integral role in ensuring that our business strategies are aligned with the risk-return ambitions of our firm.

The role within the Strategic Risk Coverage team is part of the Swiss Universal Bank (SUB) risk function. You can become part of a dynamic and highly motivated team, with a diverse skillset and expertise across business activities, risk classes, modelling, data analytics and governance. Our team engages and collaborates on an on-going basis with the different Risk departments within SUB and globally within CS as well as various Finance and the business units. Your skills and experience

 

  • A University degree or an equivalent educational background preferably coupled with financial analyst (CFA) or risk management qualification (FRM)

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Front Office, Risk Management, Consulting or Audit (preferably with a focus on banking and/or risk matters)

  • Broad knowledge and detailed understanding of banking business and products as well as risk management concept and methods (across multiple risk classes)

  • Strong PowerPoint skills and ability to express and present complex matters in an intuitive and condensed manner

  • Effective and confident communication, including with Management and Front Office personnel

  • Strong analytical, problem solving skills and ability to work independently

  • Ability to learn and apply learning quickly

  • Excellent team player

  •  Fluency in English. German is a plus
