Site Operations Controller

Under the direct responsibility of the EAME Naturals Ingredients controller, you will take the lead of the Operations controlling functions in the newly created subregion “Central Europe natural ingredients” (Switzerland). You will be in charge of the Operations controlling of our plants in Switzerland (Bischofszell and Burgdorf) and you will report directly to the EAME Naturals Ingredients controller.


 


You take care of the analysis and consolidation of the figures for the Central region working with the Operations responsible of the region and getting support from the Operations controller based in Avignon. You have to travel several times per year on each plant.

You will:


 



  • Business Support:
    You will support the site management in the development and analysis of business plans, forecasts, cost savings opportunities. Associated with the months-end financial close you support the management in strategic decision-making. In special projects you will give overall financial support.
     

  • Planning and Forecasting:
    You will perform ad-hoc and analysis of the monthly Measurements. and provide the management with interpretive and predictive information for decision-making. This includes the provision of analyses of financial information to several functional management and partners, including Group Controlling, Division Controlling, Operations Controlling, Functional Controlling (e.g. IT, Purchasing, HR). Moreover you will review the analysis of the site cost and identify variances vs. budget, last year and outlook. Here you guide and recommend corrective actions. Lastly you will participate in forecasting and mid-to long-term planning for the factory.
     

  • Budget Cycle, Costing & inventory valuation:
    You manage annual and periodic requirements of costing activities and analysis of COGS. You will provide detailed product costing analysis and support management in the evaluation of product costs. Moreover, you manage the annual budget process for the site. Lastly, you are in charge of the valuation of the inventory done on a monthly basis.
     

  • Business Partnering:
    You will work with site engineers, local management, regional controllers and local finance from the stage of evaluating capital proposals up until value realization. You contribute as an active member in site projects that create process/cost improvements (i.e., Supply Chain, LEAN, BIT). To stay informed of site activities you will participate in site operations meetings and provide finance support/action where required.

You have:



  • Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or similar Controlling qualification

  • 5+ years’ controlling experience in a manufacturing environment 

  • Working knowledge of costing processes

  • Business Fluent in German and English in both literary and speaking. French will be valued.

  • Used to think analyitically and experienced in communicating with different partners

  • Experienced in budget processing, reporting, financial analysis, controlling, accounting

  • Used to work in complex teams within a matrix organization

  • Advanced in Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), SAP, JEDOX and TABLEAU appreciated
