Job Description


Are you looking for a patient-focused, innovation-driven company that will inspire you and empower you to shine? Join us as a Finance Business Partner Small Molecule Inventory at our Zurich office.

In this role, you will contribute to Takeda’s mission by having the ability to lead effectively and work concurrently across multiple projects in a goal-oriented, timeline-driven, and dynamic work environment, while ensuring quality and accuracy. A typical day will include:


OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE



  • Manage Small Molecule (incl. Oncology) Inventory reporting process across the company (multiple systems and teams).

  • Lead Inventory related process & policy improvements and implementations.

  • Ensure compliance and alignment to Inventory policy, finance regulations, inventory accuracy, reserves process, KPI implementation and inventory governance rollout.

  • Seek opportunities to transform inventory practices into more efficient and effective procedures

  • Lead inventory related projects


ACCOUNTABILITIES



  • Manage Oncology & SM reporting process across the globe (multiple systems and teams).

  • Monthly Reporting and Close: Review global inventory results with SC and sites to explain movements and define impairments, report related KPI’s, provide analysis and recommendations.

  • Lead inventory reviews with local leadership teams to drive actions (inventory reductions through DIO), assist in inventory risk assessments with SC to meet goals, Perform review of write-offs.

  • Interacts and partners with Operating Units to gather and compile data needed to conduct analyses, identify trends and/or address senior management requests

  • Inventory Planning and Working Capital Optimization: Participate in target setting initiatives with Supply Chain and senior management, lead preparation of the inventory budget to support FP&A.

  • Partner with Technical Accounting team to review inventory turns that determine amortization period for manufacturing variances

  • Ensure compliance and alignment to Inventory policy, finance regulations, inventory accuracy, reserves process, KPI implementation and inventory governance rollout.

  • Research and resolve operating unit inquiries for assigned functional areas.

  • Support Inventory related projects and program Agile for GMS Finance.

  • Understand inventory movements and the related accounting postings

  • Problem solving skills – data analysis, critical thinking, teamwork and corroboration

  • Knowledge of US GAAP /IFRS regulations

  • Ability to manage and influence team

  • Work toward the goals/targets set by management to achieve results

  • Extremely complex data system, compliance and business footprint for Oncology & SM (Int. Mfgr 3 Regions, ES SM 4 Regions)

  • Understand the manufacturing strategy and the various locations where inventory is produced/sold


EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent degree

  • At least 6+ years experience of progressive experience of a large pharmaceutical corporation

  • Demonstrate creative and critical thinking skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Ability to work in a team setting

  • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
