We are looking for a strong and experienced personality for the role Marketing Manager for our Power Grids (PG) portfolio to support the accomplishment of our business goals. Based in the sales organization, you will develop the marketing strategy and marketing plans for the Swiss, German and Austrian (DACH) markets and you will be responsible for their operational implementation (customer events, campaigns, brand and image activities) with budget accountability. You act as a link between the product marketing units of the four global PG Business Units and implement their initiatives in line with your marketing strategy. In this role, you will ensure the strong positioning of the Hitachi ABB Power Grids brand in the market and maximize synergies within the DACH markets.


Your responsibilities



  • Create marketing strategy and marketing plans for the Swiss, German and Austrian markets.

  • Coordinating with global product and business unit marketing entities and implementing global initiatives in local markets

  • Supporting the definition of value propositions and portfolio positioning in the markets

  • Independent operational implementation of the marketing strategy and plans with budget accountability (trade fairs, customer events, product campaigns, webinars, etc.)

  • Involvement of external suppliers and service providers or internal global stakeholders to ensure the achievement of targets in-time and in -budget

  • Working closely with Power Grid's Swiss communications for branding and image campaigns

  • Developing newly adapted digital formats

  • Ensure professional marketing processes together with the local sales organizations (CRM tools) including monitoring and tracking


Your background



  • At least 7 years of professional marketing experience in a technical environment

  • Assertive senior personality with confidence in dealing with C-level stakeholders

  • Sales affinity, strong customer orientation and a keen quality awareness

  • Experience with multidimensional organizational structures, communication and negotiation skills

  • Successfully completed studies in engineering, communication, marketing or other position-related competencies

  • "Digital" and "self-starter" mindset

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Intercultural competence and flexible team player

  • Languages: Fluent in German and English and good knowledge of French (C2)
