Product Engineer (f/m/d) Surveying Field Software

• Developing a strong understanding of Surveying Field Software, relevant industry/market problems, and derived product requirements


• Interpreting and defining efficient and effective solutions that support our customers’ various workflows with respect to surveying field software, particularly in the context of infrastructure projects (such as road, rail, and/or tunnel projects)


• Converting product requirements and user workflows into detailed technical specifications to assist and collaborate with our software development group within an agile software development environment


• Testing to ensure solutions achieve Leica Geosystems’ quality standards


• Assisting with the production of product documentation and training material


• Assisting with the production of marketing and sales supporting material for our worldwide sales network and customers

 

This is you

• Experienced Engineer with High-End Surveying instruments and specific software interest


• University Degree in Geodesy, Geomatics, or Civil Engineering


• Experience of working in the Surveying/Engineering industry (ideally in the context of road, rail, and/or tunnel infrastructure projects)


• Technical skills: Interest in technology, with the ability to understand the technical aspects of a product


• Communication skills (customers): Ability to talk to, understand and empathize with real customers - to identify and comprehend market problems and opportunities


• Communication skills (colleagues): Ability to build strong rapport and relationships with colleagues from various groups (R&D, project management, product management, and sales channels) - to gain in-depth understanding of wishes, requests, challenges, and constraints


• Analytical and organizational Skills: Ability to analyse constraints, needs, workloads, and timelines – to be able to organize tasks in a way that allows for the most valuable outcome


• Language Skills: Fluent in English (spoken and written), German is a nice to have
