In view of our continued global growth we are to strengthening our OM Pharma team, and therefore are currently looking for a Cellular Biology Development Team Leader for our manufacturing plant in Geneva. In this function, you will facilitate the introduction and the development of new techniques that will support the development programs. You will report directly to the Head of Analytical Sciences. 

The team’s focus is to design, develop and validate new Immunology and Cell based assays as release tests and stability testing using up-to-date technologies and statistical approaches. It will also provide increasing technical and scientific support to the preclinical team by coordinating and facilitating analytical activities with external collaborations. The position will require interactions and successful collaboration with the main stakeholders (QA, QC, Regulatory affairs, and preclinical department) and include the management of a very experienced team dedicated to Biological assays development and validation in a GMP environment. Your tasks and responsibilities will include the following:

• The management of the team – 4 to 6 high qualified professionals


• Validation of biochemical assays (e.g. cell-based assays, immunoassays) and determination of release and shelf-life specifications


• Scientific management of technical projects


• Develop, maintain and improve technical platform consisting of a broad portfolio of in-vitro cell-based assays designed to assess compounds and derived-compounds in development in collaboration/synergy with other team managers


• Develop technologies and scientific expertise of the team


• Coaching/development of unit members.


• Ensure all activities under responsibility are performed in compliance ad-hoc quality level e.g. Quality Assurance (QA) guidelines, relevant regulations and internal policies


• Actively participate to the writing and review of development, validation and study reports


• Respect of the procedures and quality/security rules of OM Pharma

For this role, we are a looking for a Senior scientist with strong technical and strategic experience, bringing the following profile: 

• At least 10 years of experience in a managerial role within a laboratory is a requisite


• Strong scientific and technical background in bioanalytical sciences for biologics


• In depth knowledge of immunochemistry and cellular biology


• Strong experience of work in GxP and knowledge of US/EU guidelines.


• Strong biostatistical skills applied to methods validation and DoE.


• Experience of HA interactions and regulatory dossiers submission would be a plus


• Fluent French and very good level of English is required
